Medicare Prescription Payment Plan Explainer Video

The Brief

Paytient was selected by Medicare to provide prescription payment plan services under the newly launched Medicare Part D M3P program. As part of the rollout, the program needed a white-label animated explainer video to live on the M3P website, something that would help Medicare members actually understand what the program was, how it worked, and why it was worth signing up for.

The Challenge

Medicare's target audience for this program skews older, and older audiences are notoriously skeptical of anything new, especially when it involves healthcare and finances. The video couldn't just be informative. It had to be warm, clear, unhurried, and trustworthy enough to move someone from confusion to confidence. Every visual decision, every pacing choice, every motion cue had to earn its place by making the content easier to understand, not more impressive to look at.

What I did

Working from a provided script and voiceover, I owned the entire creative and production pipeline. I developed the storyboards in Figma, mapping out the full 2.5 minute narrative beat by beat before a single asset was created. From there, I designed all original characters and visual elements in Figma, animated the full piece in Adobe After Effects, and brought everything together in Adobe Premiere Pro, compositing the voiceover, background music, and animations, and adding captions for accessibility.

Concept. Storyboard. Character design. Asset creation. Animation. Audio editing. Captioning. Final delivery. All of it.

The Result

The video launched alongside the M3P website and went on to accumulate significant views, directly contributing to increased program sign-ups. It remains in use today as the primary explainer resource for the program. For a government-backed healthcare initiative targeting an audience that doesn't give its trust easily, getting people to watch, understand, and act is no small thing.
